Dazibao is a polyphonic synthesizer featuring an innovative interface that facilitates the creation and arrangement of multiple tones across various timelines. The application intelligently generates corresponding wavetables and envelopes for parameters such as filters, volume, pitch, vibrato, and pan. Users can seamlessly blend an organ tone with string instruments, allowing Dazibao to yield sophisticated, evolving soundscapes effortlessly. Its four distinct modes streamline the crafting of extraordinary sound transitions.

In addition to its synthesizer capabilities, Dazibao for iPad incorporates an analog-style drum machine and bass synthesizer. By combining one of seven types of noise with a sine oscillator, users can easily produce a plethora of percussion sounds reminiscent of vintage drum machines, including toms, snare drums, cymbals, and bells. The analog-style bass synthesizer complements this functionality, while the built-in sequencer allows for rhythm creation across 2 to 64 steps with subdivisions ranging from 1/1 to 1/8.

For live performances, Dazibao allows for the loading of sessions, each encompassing patches for the polyphonic synthesizer along with pre-arranged sequences. This setup ensures that performers have immediate access to a diverse array of sounds combined with rhythmic elements, effectively delivering a rich sonic experience during live shows.

The user interface of Dazibao is designed to facilitate the creation of intricate sequences characterized by tonal variations or expansive pads that traverse the stereo field. It supports unique patches where each key can feature different sound evolutions. The interface innovations simplify the process of developing both complex patches and experimental drum patterns without the need for traditional matrixes, sliders, or jacks, thereby broadening the scope of musical creativity.
